Only one coach is required to have a certification per team through https://www.nays.org/coaches/ ($20), have a similar accredited certification that receives approval by the CMAFL such as https://usafootball.com/programs/heads-up-football/youth/ ($25) or a higher level certification such as a High School Coaching Certification through NFHS.

Teams may begin practicing the first week of August as stated in the bylaws. Our official Date of Practice in the Calendar is the day teams who have not begun practicing for whatever reason must start to hold practices to ensure players have had sufficient time to familiarize themselves with movements, football knowledge and for general safety reasons.
